This legal agreement between you and National Informatics Centre (NIC), governs your use of the GovDrive service.

NIC is the provider of GovDrive service, which provide a centralized storage solutions and enable collaboration amongst the Government officials to assess the authenticity of the users only under the terms and conditions mentioned in this agreement. The GovDrive service is available to you in India as well as outside India. Use of GovDrive service requires compatible devices, internet access, and certain software. You agree that it is your responsibility to meet these requirements which may change from time to time. The GovDrive service isa key component of secure e-Governance framework which offers the ease of sharing documents for Government officials, so any service/product part of such framework are by default part of GovDrive application. Obtaining any other product/service under NIC which are not part of e-Governance framework shall not guarantee you access to the NIC GovDrive service.

• National Informatics Centre (NIC) reserves the right to make changes to GovDrive and these terms of use at any time. If those changes affect your rights or responsibilities, you will be notified through the GovDrive portal.
• These Terms of Service shall come into effect as soon as you have accepted it and registered your account on GovDrive.
• As a user of GovDrive, you are granted a nonexclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use GovDrive in accordance with these Terms of Use. NIC/Govt. of India may terminate this license at any time for any reason.
• Though all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the content on GovDrive, the same should not be construed as a statement of law or used for any legal purposes. In case of any ambiguity or doubts, users are advised to verify/check with the concerned Ministry/Department/Organization and/or other source(s), and to obtain appropriate professional advice.
• Under no circumstances will the Government/Ministry/Department/Organization be liable for any expense, loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any expense, loss or damage whatsoever arising from use, or loss of use, of data, arising out of or in connection with the use of GovDrive.

The service offered by GovDrive is for your personal use only and not for commercial exploitation. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, rent, lease, loan, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from GovDrive. Nor may you use any network monitoring or discovery software to determine the Application/site architecture, or extract information about usage, individual identities or users. You will not use any robot, spider, other automatic software or device, or manual process to monitor or copy GovDrive and its contents without NIC's prior written permission. You will not copy, modify, reproduce, republish, distribute, display, or transmit for commercial, non-profit or public purposes all or any portion of GovDrive, except to the extent permitted by the copyright policy of this terms of use.

As a registered user of GovDrive service, you may establish an account. Do not disclose your account details to anyone. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account. All activities that occur on or through your account are your responsibility, and you agree to immediately notify NIC of any security breach of your account.

NIC shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of your account. In order to use the GovDrive service, you must register using email Id/ mobile no. and verify your identity using any of the verification parameters including Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Driving License, Email Id, or Mobile No . The verification parameter are subject to change without giving prior notice to user. After registration, enter your login ID and password to authenticate your account.

GovDrive is a cloud-based multi-tenant platform that offers the ease of sharing documents for Government officials that can be integrated with multiple Government applications to provide a centralized storage solutions and enable collaboration amongst the Government officials. The application can be accessed via Parichay using multi-factor authentication can be configured via android Auth app. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when you register on Parichay to use GovDrive service. You also agree to update your Parichay registration data time to time for keeping the information accurate and complete. NIC use crucial data such as Aadhaar card information only to validate user identity and never stores anything in the database. However, when user uploads any kind of data on GovDrive, you agree that NIC may store it with extensive encryption at rest and in transit, and use it for coordination purpose and functioning of the application.

• You are authorized to use GovDrive service only for personal use.
• Any commercial use of this service is strictly prohibited.
• You acknowledge that, if NIC changes or discontinues the GovDrive service, which NIC may do at its own discretion, you may not be able to use GovDrive service in the same manner as prior to such change or discontinuation, and that NIC shall have no liability to you in such case.
• The provision of GovDrive service does not provide you any commercial or promotional use right for the NIC products and services.
• It is your responsibility not to lose, destroy or damage the NIC services or products once they are successfully installed.
• The NIC products or services may offer service that allows you to submit material on various areas related to research.
• You agree that your usage of such features, including any materials submitted by you, shall be your sole responsibility, shall not violate the rights of any other party or violate any laws or otherwise be obscene or objectionable. You also agree that you have obtained all necessary rights and licenses related to the material submitted by you. You agree to provide accurate and complete information in connection with your submission of any materials on the NIC Service. You hereby provide NIC with a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use such materials as part of the NIC Service, and in relation to NIC Products, without any compensation or obligation to you.
• NIC has the right, but not the responsibility, to monitor any materials submitted by you or otherwise available on the NIC Service. NIC will investigate any reported or apparent violation of this Agreement and may take any action that NIC in its sole discretion feels appropriate, including immediate termination of service to the user.
